All the cast seems to be just right for Jane Eyre.

Judysally

The star cast of Jane Eyre seems to growing quite well. Now there is the addition of Jamie Bell, Dame Judi Dench, Sally Hawkins and Imogen Poots are all part of the cast now.

They will be playing their roles alongside Michael Fassbender and Mia Wasikowska who will play the lead on Charlotte Bronte’s classic tale of the titular young governess who falls in love with her employer but discovers he harbors a secret.

Bell willl play St. John Rivers, Eyre’s clergyman cousin; Dench will play Fairfax, the housekeeper of Thornfield Manor who disapproves of Eyre’s engagement with Rochester; Hawkins will portray Eyre’s aunt Mrs Reed who adopts her but abuses and neglect her; while Poot’s role is currently unknown.

The script will be written by playwright Moira Buffini who is also working on Tamara Drewe. Fukunaga is known for his work on Sin Nombre. The picture is set to begin shooting in March and it seems like potential 2010 Oscar bait.
