This is great news for the director, who has been fighting for this one for years.

Margaret finally rolls out next year. This is after six years being stuck in all the wrong places. Kenneth Longergan’s film has been awaited after his strong debut with You Can Count on Me. It will finally hit theaters on 2011 via Fox Searchlight.

It has been stuck in production for various reasons. There has been a huge legal battle erupted between the producer and Fox Searchlight. There have been suits and counter-suits over the film. There were several editors who played the black sheep in this who did not wait for Kenneth’s approval. Even the last producer Sydney Pollack was quiet infuriated by the new film. Olivia Thirbly had also hinted the greatness of the 300 page script.

The film stars Anna Paquin, Mark Ruffalo, Matt Damon, Matthew Broderick and Jean Reno. They have all become quite huge after their work on this film. So the lock down on the release will bring cheers to a lot of people. The film talks about survival guilt with a unique twist put through with Kenneth Lonergan. It is easily the most anticipated film for next year.

Jude Law gets going with several interesting projects.

Sherlock Holmes will be going on as schedule. Jude Law dropped the cat with news that Guy Ritchie is planning to shooting the film for a December 16 2011 release.

The script will be written by the guys behind the Paper Man. So the shooting will be delayed a little bit but I guess they will speed up in the post production front.

Jude Law will also be working on the ensemble piece of Steven Soderbergh. The film has a huge star cast includeing Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Marion Cotillard and will have the same schedule. Since contagion is an ensemble piece it will be easier for Steven to relax the scheduling for the film. So his part could be shot afterwards.

So Jude Law really has his hands full this year. He will also be playing the father of Hugo Cabaret in the Martin Scorsese film which will be done up in 3D. So the schedule is looking rather tight for the guy now.

Cameron Crowe is in talks to work with Cameron Crowe on his project titled We Bought a Zoo. Damon would star as Benjamin Mee a widowed father who buys a dilapidated zoo in the English countryside. The family was looking for a fresh start after the death of his wife. So Mee and his children try to put some efforts to make the zoo better.

Cameron Crowe is known for his work on the film Almost Famous but his works have been a little too mushy for my taste. Crowe most interesting work would have been Vanilla Sky which starred yesteryear star Tom Cruise with his then girlfriend Penelope Cruz.

For the last couple of years there has been no word on any of the projects by Cameron Crowe because of all the strikes that the industry was hit by. But it is a good sign he might take a page from these historical events and make some changes to his style of filmmaking.

The book tells the story of Benjamin Mee after he moved his family to an unlikely home in the English countryside. We bought a Zoo is a rich, profoundly moving portrait that Hollywood would love to see on the big screen. The screenplay for the film is written by Aline Brosh McKenna who is known his work on the horrible Devil Wears Prada please check out September Issue instead. The film is slated for December 2011 release. We are not sure if we will be following this one but please influence us with your comments to make us feel otherwise.

Will Matt Damon return for this one is going to be difficult. We will have to wait and see what Tony Gilroy will come up with this one. Tony Gilroy was the person who brought the franchise to the big screen. So it will be up to him to bring it back with the fourth book called Bourne Legacy.

There have been several speculators saying that the movie is not a possibility. The reason for this has been the combination of Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass did not approve the last draft of the script. But if the two of them are not returning then what is left of this franchise just dust I say.

Gilroy is working in parallel trying to get the 2005 book by Eric Van Lustbader and pushing for it to go to the big screen. But will this exercise be a little too futile. Will he be able to bring the two on board after the script has been written?

There will be a lot written about this in the next couple of weeks. But does anyone feel that there is a need for another part. He remembers everything now and he also has got his closure. So it will be boring to even enter his universe for the time being.

The Bourne Legacy will be out in theaters during 2012 Summer Season. So they have set a date without any consent really. Very Typical.

Steven Soderbergh is seriously considering the possibility of 3D.

This is not really good news for the film with such a stellar cast of stars. Steven Soderbergh will be taking this film to the 3D screens now. It is written by Scott Z. Burns starring a cluster of stars like Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law, Marion Cotillard and Laurence Fishburne.

Warner Bros sent out a swarm of release dates for their 2011 calendar. Contagion will be releasing next year in October. It will be released during the Oscar season of that year. The film will be marketed as a action thriller. It will be more dramatic than most thrillers with so many stars. Soderbergh will be trying to make a follow up to his powerful Traffic which made him get an Oscar.

So the director is known to take leaps for most of his productions. So this will be something to look out for. What will he give to the new form of expression in cinema by 3D. James Cameron will also help him solve some of the issues he will face while shooting the film.

James Cameron was one of the onset producers for his space film called Solaris. So it will be nice to have him over on this film as well. So Soderbergh has the cast for this film. But will the human element get lost in all the 3D effect is the question.

Finally we have hope and some competition for Inception. It looks miniscule in front of the latter film but it holds good with the trailer we see below. The film stars Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. This has really got me excited because I’m a fan of both of them. So it will be just swell to see the two of them together for the first time. But the drama could have been toned down a little bit.

The story is loosely based on the Philip K. Dick short story, The Adjustment Bureau and it has certainly lost sight of the concept and concentrated on the love story to make it more cinematic. It will feature a smooth talking congressman whose political future is thrown in doubt by uncontrollable events and the arrival in his life of a mysterious ballerina.

Matt Damon will play David Norris, a former Fordham University basketball player and charismatic United States Congressman who seems destined for national political stardom. He meets a beautiful ballet dancer named Elise Sellas, played by the beautiful Emily Blunt, only to find that strange circumstances keep them from becoming romantically involved. Norris discovers forces are at work to keep the two of them apart, and he peels the layers to find out why. The film is shot throughout Manhattan.

This will be the luckiest man on the planet right now. Steven Soderbergh is really excited about his work on films like The Girlfriend Experience and the loads of fun he had on the Informant!. So it is really his time to get back into serious action mode. He has so many films in the pipeline. The list keeps building up. There is also the impending retirement we need to think about. So how does he juggle so many films and themes? But does he get them right it is up to the audience to decide.

So after his combat film called Knockout he will take up the prevention cause in Contagion. Now after the hoax play of Swine Flu now there is a need to understand the causes of diseases. So think of a virus that will be able to threaten the human race in more ways than one.

The script Steven’s next will be taken from is called Contagion. It has an all star cast headlining with Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard, Lawrence Fishburne, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law. It surely has a Babel style scope by the looks of it. The script is terrifyingly simple and this is a good thing. It takes up cues from movies like Traffic and Syriana.

Scott Z. Burns, who wrote the script and has worked with Steven on several movies like the Informant and with Matt Damon on The Bourne Ultimatum, has done enough and more research for the film.

The film begins with Gwyneth Paltrow’s character and slowly gets into the rest of them at various stages of development of the disease. So each character has their own stories to say at various intervals. It will be difficult to fish out a message from this film. But it will be something to put our brains to work. It will be really nice to see Steven going into the multi parallel narratives.

It will give a lot of room for improvisation on the part of the actors. Especially it will be a treat to see Jude Law playing a blogger who tries to uncover conspiracies. That will be something nice to watch on screen. So if these narratives play into each other it will be something of a collage of though and panic. What more could we ask for?

We have been closely following this adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s book called The Adjustment Team. It is a short story which is turned into a film by director George Nolfi and it is called The Adjustment Bureau.

The film has really nice cast comprising of Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Anthony Mackie, John Slattery, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Michael Kelly and Terence Stamp.

Who controls our destiny? Matt Damon stars in the thriller The Adjustment Bureau as a man who glimpses the future. Fate has planned something for him and he wants something else. Now the only way for that to happen he has to pursue the only woman he loved.

One the brink of victory at winning a seat at the US senate, David played by Matt Damon meets ballet dancer Elise Sellas played by the talented Emily Blunt. But just as things start getting better there are forces that begin to oppose this relationship.

This is when David realizes that he is up against the agents of Fate itself the ment of The Adjustment Bureau will do anything in their power to make sure this union never happens.
Clint Eastwood will work on another biopic after a horror film.

At times when we look at the work of Clint Eastwood the only word which comes to mind is relentless. Clint Eastwood has shared his demons and lived with them on screen. But he still feels a need to share a story. Stories have a way of creeping through your bones. For instance Gran Tarino is not something that many people can take to in the first viewing but it warrants another to feel the warmth around its maker.

For years we have seen Clint Eastwood play the restrained trigger happy character. But this has been a little bit of a stretch if he still takes his guns. He is the Studio filmmaker of the yesteryear. He fits their bill to the tee. No one can really question his limited understanding yet poignant vision for cinema. He has been hard at work with Matt Damon on Hereafter. But he is already getting ready for his next film which will be a biopic of original FBI director J.Edgar Hoover. It will be written by Oscar winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black. The addition of Clint Eastwood will assure a studio will pick it soon.

The script for the biopic has been shifting to different hands ever since its inception. So it is now looking for a production house to take over it. His last film felt like a yawn called Invictus. But the factory format of making Oscar model films has its limitations. But you can’t really single him out after what was shown in Letters from Iwo Jima. Nothing can make us prepared for what to expect in a Clint Eastwood film. Though he will have several author backed clichés for his films. It will be heart warming to see them on the big screen. Clint has an eye of how it will be projected on the big screen.

But at Clint’s age it will be difficult to know whether he will be able to keep the wheels turning. The Hoover quotient will be a different turn for the director. Clint had loads of these investigative films in the 90s. Some of them were not really worth a mention but it might be an experimenting ground for him. In other words nothing can be certain in the approach of Clint Eastwood.

The film is surely going to blow peoples mind with the pace at which the narrative flows. The film will be released on March 12 th. This will be start of the blockbusters for this year. There 6 new clips from the film with some behind the scenes footage from the film. Here is the official synopsis for the film.

Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, United 93) re-team for their latest electrifying thriller in Green Zone, a film set in the chaotic early days of the Iraqi War when no one could be trusted and every decision could detonate unforeseen consequences.

During the U.S.-led occupation of Baghdad in 2003, Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Damon) and his team of Army inspectors were dispatched to find weapons of mass destruction believed to be stockpiled in the Iraqi desert. Rocketing from one booby-trapped and treacherous site to the next, the men search for deadly chemical agents but stumble instead upon an elaborate cover-up that inverts the purpose of their mission.

Spun by operatives with intersecting agendas, Miller must hunt through covert and faulty intelligence hidden on foreign soil for answers that will either clear a rogue regime or escalate a war in an unstable region. And at this blistering time and in this combustible place, he will find the most elusive weapon of all is the truth.
