Screencaps and Trailer of Thor

The highly anticipated film for next year has finally come out with a trailer. There are also couple of screencaps to show you the whole look of the film.

Check out the images below.

Thor is being directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Jamie Alexander and Kat Dennings. The film has not received much hype after the trailer did not go down well at Cannes. But it was the last couple of scenes that got the crowd going wild.

The film is expected to hit theaters in Summer 2011.

The Final Avengers cast at Comic Con

Everyone was standing when the whole cast of Avengers came out in full force and shocked everyone. It all started with director Joe Johnston and stars Chris Evans and Hugo Weaving were on hand to talk Captain America.

Joe Johnston called the film a classic adventure love story with an edge. It will be influenced by Raiders of Lost Ark, a movie he also worked on. So this will be his goal with Captain America. He also got time to study the world and history of the character closely.

The filming just began couple of weeks ago with Chris Evans. Hugo Weaving was also saying that he was listening to tapes of Werner Herzog to help get the voice of Red Skull. So after showing the footage of that there was a little more excitement waiting fans.

Then came Thor and nothing was really exciting until they showed The Destroyer. It was not really the best thing from Comic Con. Then, the stage just went empty for a little while and people were wondering was happening.

Samuel Jackson walks to the podium to introduce members of Nick Fury’s team. It included Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. Then, the other two people were introduced by him Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Jeremy Renner will be Hawkeye.

Then the director comes up and says:

“I’ll blow it. I’m not up for this”

Robert Downey Jr. also asked the crowd if everyone has seen Inception and said it was the most ambitious film he has seen in ages. He also said the Avengers will be even more ambitious.

Marvel really took center stage with these announcements. But will they be able to make it through all the shooting.Similar Posts:

I hope the film turns out to be as good as these banners. With only couple more days for the Comic Con. There is going to be a whole lot of rumors running around in the next couple of days. They have already brought a series of good images from the Thor film. It is time for Captain America to stand up.

Captain America will be directed by Joe Johnston. These kind of artwork pieces are used to promote the film. There is a lot of nervousness in the Captain America camp since none of the casting has been made secure.

So wait for the Comic con to be the place for all the announcements to be headlined. For the time being hope that these images will translate into the big screen.

Another image from Mighty Thor

After couple of people have been nitpicking the first image from the film they can have another chance it. They have just brought out another image from the film. Thor really needs to build from the Comic Con this summer to stand a chance at the Box office.

The film will star Chris Hemsworth who is trying to bring an otherworldly look to the whole thing. In this particular image he is trying to pull out the hammer out of the base. Here is a synopsis.

This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe – from present day Earth to the mythical realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth. Paramount has set a May 6th, 2011 summer release for Thor. The stakes are quite high for this film. So let us see the reactions after the Comic con.

Thor in Asgard

Here is the first look from where Thor comes from. The set does not really look that good. But it has to do something with the budget in hand I guess. But they could have gone the digital route for this film.

The film stars Anthony Hopkins and gives us a distant look into Asgard. There is a sight of Rene Russo, Tadanobu Asano and Josh Dallas. The characters they play are Frigga, Hogun, Fandral respectively. Loki can also be seen wearing his ceremonial hat.

In the center of it all Thor can be seen. There is chance this could be the start of the war. The film will see him cast down to earth for his arrogance and forced to live among humans where he has the remarkable good fortune to meet sexy scientist Jane. This will be when the film really picks up. Who will want to see the rest of the movie if there is a chance to see Natalie Portman on earth?

We were expecting for this to come sometime next week. But it is early and it looks quite boring I m must say. Here is an official picture of Thor will look and also Odin played by Anthony Hopkins.

The film Thor will also fall under spell of 3D. So will this be another reason for people to get to the theater for this. They probably will run to the theater to catch a glimpse of this new Thor’s striking physique in 3D. I’m not sure what will pull me to this one probably the presence of Natalie Portman in the film.

The film is directed by Kenneth Branagh and Thor will be played by Chris Hemsworth. He probably just has the size for this so let us see about the acting after the first trailer. He will also be seen in the Avengers movie that will be coming out in the future.

Edward Norton is not the Hulk in The Avengers

Not sure if the Hulk played by Edward Norton has that many fans, but its huge let down for Avengers fans. Hitflix has just reported that he will not be playing Bruce Banner in the film even though he wishes to be part of it.

With Comic-Con just around the corner, Marvel has taken a huge decision in letting go off Edward Norton who we know is a talented actor. Norton obviously wants to be part of this big movie, but Marvel thinks otherwise. It maybe some financial negotiations thing, and maybe Marvel wants to get some unknown guy so that they can bring down their costs, but how do they know Thor or Captain America will do well. Most likely, the new Hulk will be announced at Comic-Con, hope its not a real shocker for everyone or has Marvel got something up their sleeves?Similar Posts:

First Look at Natalie Portman in Thor

This year has been rather dull when it came to some of the films that came out in the Summer. But it has just begun so we hope the trend does not go to the downside. We have not really talked about Thor ever since his hammer had an appearance in Iron Man 2. The new film Thor seems to be situated in the Nevada desert and it has a really good cast as well.

The film is directed by Kenneth Branagh and it stars newcomer Chris Hemsworth and the beautiful Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. There are also glimpses of Anthony Hopkins in the video above. The film will be coming only next summer. But the cast is something to look forward to. But will this be a sad affair will be decided when the trailers come out. Chris will be working alongside Stellan Skarsgard, Ray Stevenson, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, rene Russon and Adriana Barraza. Then there will also be a stupid appearance by Samuel Jackson.

The film is expected to come out around May 6 th 2011. Tell us what you think of the sneak peak at the sets of the film.

Anthony Hopkins in The Rite

After with not many people getting to theaters for the Wolfman, Anthony Hopkins still seems to be generating the right kind of buzz. Anthony Hopkins is still shy of some of his greatest works like The Remains of Day and Silence of the Lambs. He has got the versatility to stand the tests of time. There are now talks that he might star in the Rite. The film will be directed by Mikael Hafstrom. Here is a premise via the book.

Adapted from a book by Matt Baglio and based on true events, the story centers on a disillusioned American seminary student who attends exorcism school at the Vatican and ultimately finds his faith through encounters with demonic forces. Hopkins will play a priest who is an expert in exorcisms and whose methods are not necessarily traditional.

This will be something in the quirky territory which Anthony is really familiar with. He will also be seen as Odin in Thor. This will also be a treasured performance from the great actor.

Jeremy Renner joins Raven and Battleship

Jeremy Renner might just win an Oscar finally for his towering work on Hurt Locker. His casting details started out with Hawkeye in Marvel’s Thor but that has not really panned out. But he has some other big deals in the works.

Jeremy Renner has talked about his work in Raven which will be directed by James McTeigue. This will be sort of departure for the actor. He will also be the lead in the Peter Berg film titled Battleship. Then there is another film in the pipeline for him as well.

James McTeigue next film will be inspired by the famous Edgar Allen Poe poem of the same name, The Raven follows Poe and the last five days before his death. James McTeigue had this to say about the film: “It is basically set in 1850s Baltimore. It will be an amalgamation of Poe’s stories crossed with Seven. It is about a serial killer loose in 1850s Baltimore. Ewan McGregor will be one of the supporting cast in the film.

Renner’s other performance will be in the Battleship with someone who I can’t really stand Peter Berg. This film will begin shooting this summer and he could probably do both. He is really a solid actor to work in very few films.
