Robert Seems to be getting all the wrong signs from Zach in this followup to Hangover.

Due Date seems to be all over the place. The script seems to look like a mess in the recent trailers. Robert will be seen alongside Zach Galifianakis and Jamie Foxx in this new buddy comedy by the makers of Hangover. The screenplay is written by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland. In the new film Galifianakis plays a wannabe actor who becomes the companion to an expectant father/businessman as they dash cross country to arrive in time for the childbirth.

Robert Downey has called the movie the second greatest movie he has ever made. The chemistry seems to lack something probably more dumbness. Zach will be using Robert’s straight image to throw some laughs at the screen.

Due Date will certainly rule November box office when it comes out.

The new poster of the next film by Todd Phillips looks really promising. They have featured both stars in the film with some really added Photoshop tweaks done to it. Todd is known for his work on Hangover. It has really springboard his career to the top league. His next film Due Date is eagerly awaited.

The film stars Zach Galifianakis, Robert Downey Jr, Jamie Foxx and several other notable stars. The first teaser trailer gave the film enough impetus to make the big bucks when it releases. The dog in the poster is going to be the surprise package like the baby in the previous one.

The story follows father to be Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.) is forced to hitch a ride with aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay played by Zach Galifianakis on a long road trip in order to make it to his new child’s birth on time. The logline itself is quite hilarious.

Due Date is written by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland. Todd Phillips has also polished it a bit. The film is expected to theaters on November 5 th.Similar Posts:

This is Steve Carell’s best work since The 40 Year Old Virgin.

Things are starting to look up for Tim Conrad (Paul Rudd). He is financially secure, has a gorgeous girlfriend, a chic apartment, and his boss has just singled him out for a potential promotion. The catch? Tim has to attend a dinner party with his boss and coworkers. Each guest is to invite one “person of special talent” (a euphemism for idiot). The coworkers will then have a contest to decide who has brought the true lord of the losers, at the expense of the “special” guests. Cruel doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Tim is ethically opposed to treating anybody in such a manner, but with his promotion hanging in the balance, his morals are on the chopping block. Besides, he has just discovered his golden ticket: Barry Speck (Steve Carell). Barry is the epitome of an idiot. He constantly bears a dimpled grin that just goes to show that ignorance is, indeed, bliss. He is persistently unaware of his surroundings. Not to mention his spare time goes into a hobby that is so absurd that I don’t dare spoil it for you.

However, you can only watch a man trying to pull open a door labeled ‘push’ for so many hours before you start to question how he has outlasted Darwin’s survival of the fittest for so long. Barry Speck is as naive as they come, spitting out social faux pas and malapropisms like an eight-year-old who has just been told about the birds and the bees in the middle of an elegant restaurant. At times, his actions and comments are so far out of left field that one wonders if he is even trying.

Dinner for Schmucks may not be comedic gold, but comedic silver certainly isn’t too much of a defeat. The burden of the comedic relief falls on the shoulders of a very well-rounded cast. From the flagrant callousness of Tim’s boss and coworkers, to the utter lunacy of Barry and the other guests of (dis)honor, the movie is filled with characters who are as exaggerated as they come.

Unfortunately, the movie does suffer a bit from what has been dubbed the “idiot plot” in the world of cinema. That is, the plot is only allowed to continue through the inaction (or sometimes the illogical action) of a character. There are situations throughout Dinner for Schmucks where Tim can easily settle certain problems by calling the police, explaining his dilemma, or simply being more direct in what he says. But, of course, that wouldn’t be any fun.

Even though Dinner for Schmucks is way over the top, it is still full of laughs. This is Steve Carell’s best work since The 40 Year Old Virgin, and each of the actors play their parts with a vivacity that fits their oddball characters perfectly. The humor in film comes at a constant flow and ranges from slapstick comedy to squirm-in-your-seat awkwardness.

The climatic dinner scene is a stroke of pure hilarity with a mash-up of some incomparably outrageous characters. From the clinically insane to the pathetically untalented, the table is set for a circus rather than a dinner party. But when the meal is over and the dessert trays have been cleared, it’s pretty obvious who the real schmucks are.

Robert Downey Jr. is going to have a field day with this film. He looks like he has met his match with Zach Galifianakis. He will just rip him apart. Todd Phillips is out to prove that Hangover was not a fluke. Zach has nothing to prove actually. He does not have an issue with any of the stars with Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr to compete with. He looks like he has just stole their star power with this one.

It follows a couple of fools who go on a road trip where a father is trying to get home to see the birth of his child. Due Date is going to be a massive hit when it comes out. They don’t really have to even advertise this one with names it will surely stand on its own.

Michelle Monaghan is also part of the cast but there is no sign of her in this trailer. Jamie Foxx also has nothing much do but do that silly as scene with Zach which is just hilarious. So check out the trailer and tell us what you think of this mad ride.

It's Kind of a Funny Story might just work for the wide audiences.

We had just got hold of some images from this film called Its Kind of a Funny Story. It gave a lot of good vibes now the trailer also plays to our fancy. Zach has been channeling the mad man quite well. He will be giving the tour for the young actor Keir Gilchrist as a stressed out teenager.

Keir’s character gets himself checked into a mental institution for five days. The institution has the hallmarks of all the cool things cinema seduces us with. A hot chick, interesting characters and a teenage protagonist who will bring the audiences to the theater: so what is really missing in this? There has to be something amiss here. It is directed by the duo that brought the heartwarming Half Nelson and the recent indie hit Sugar.

This is the new film by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and it stars a slew of great talent. It has Keir starring alongside Zach Galifianakis, Emma Roberts, Lauren Graham, Viola Davis and Jim Gaffigan. The film will be coming out in limited release on September 24 th.

Here is an official synopsis.

Stressed out from the demands of being a teenager, 16-year-old Craig checks himself into a mental health clinic. There he learns that the youth ward is closed and finds himself stuck in the adult ward. One of the patients, Bobby, soon becomes both Craig’s mentor and protege. Craig is also drawn to another 16-year-old, Noelle. With a minimum five days’ stay imposed on him, Craig is sustained by friendships on both the inside and the outside as he learns more about life, love, and the pressures of growing up.

The film which is almost not saleable has been getting good buzz with a series of images posted on websites. The film in question is It is Kind of a Funny Story and it stars Zach Galifianakis. It is more than an introduction with that name on the billboard. It is directed by the husband wife duo who gave us movies like Half Nelson and Sugar.

The film is based on a novel by Ned Vizzini and tells the story of a clinically depressed stranger played by Keir Gilchrist who checks himself into an adult psychiatric ward and meets quite a few colorful characters played by Zach Galifianakis and Aasif Mandvi.

The film also stars Emma Roberts, Lauren Graham, Adrian Martinez, Zoe Kravitz, Viola Davis, Jeremy Davis and Jim Gaffigan. It is going to be a film that is borderline funny and quite dramatic. So it will depend on the performances to make this film elevate to some other level.

Zach Galifiniakis could not even save this mad rush of a thriller.

Now a film starring Zach Galifianakis and Rob Corddry is not getting translated to the big screen for various reasons. One of the biggest problems being the fact that the studios have just become dumber that is all. The film is titled Operation Endgame that could be one more reasons for this straight to DVD release.

The film is about two groups of assassins who are forced to hunt each other down when their boss is murdered. This probably sounds really lame. But if you add a diabetic Assassin played by Zach Galifianakis into the mix it is pure dynamite.

The film also stars Maggie Q, Ving Rhames, Adam Scott, bob Odenkirk, Jeffery Tambor. It seriously feel like a b grade film with this sort of cast. But if you think of the second team played by Emilie De Ravin, Joe Anderson, Ellen Barkin, Odette Yustman and Brandon T. Jackson this feels like it must have been a colossal mess to be missed. The film will be coming out in DVD on July 27 th. For the time being check out the trailer above and tell us what you think about it.

Zach gets ready for The Incredible Mr Limpet to play a fish.

Now there is going to be several remakes in the works in Hollywood here is another. Zach Galifianakis will be leading the new remake of the film called The Incredible Mr Limpet. The role was supposed to go to Johnny Depp but Zach is a really good replacement.

The story follows a shy bookkeeper who falls into the ocean and turns into a fish. He gets commissioned by the US Navy and helps in their naval efforts against the Nazi’s. Under this entire tough atmosphere he eventually also finds love.

The studios are going in overdrive once they got Zach out for this film. The film will be directed by the guy behind the sweet Enchanted. So it will be nice to see Amy Adams return for this movie as well.

Mr Limpey will be expected to come out sometime next year now. But before that there are enough films of Zach in the pipeline which will hit the big screen this year itself.

Up in the Air stands out as a testament of waiting and hopelessness.

I saw ‘Up in the Air’ today. And I must say it was an interesting watch. But really how do we judge something that took so long to make and lasted 108 minutes. How can anyone, no matter how many movies they’ve thrashed or applauded, say a movie is good or bad. Hence the
adjective interesting; ‘cuz that could mean its good or bad or anything in between really. But I must say that in this case the scale tips towards good.

What an interesting career at first glance. Firing people. But it also is extremely difficult. To handle that moment when you take away almost everything they’ve known for so long. What they believe is what keeps them up and running and their families fed and safe.

And wow, what a life it is. Ryan Bingham had to actually come home for 42 days. Imagine that, travelling for most days of the year, and living out of your suitcase, nothing to keep you grounded or pull you down. But is it really that wonderful to be up in the air, to save for the sake of saving, just so you get 10 million miles and its perks of meeting the Captain and getting your name on the plane. Ten million miles, whole families don’t hold a candle to that in entire lifetimes.

But after all that, he ends up being a parenthesis. The Romantic in me says, OH NO, how can this not have a happy ending and the other pragmatic and cynical half of me says Well, what else did he expect.

Commitment phobia is captured wonderfully. To live life without an anchor, to keep floating up in the air. And when he’s asked to settle down in Omaha after newbie hotshot Natalie finds a way to fire clients over the internet, you’re left wondering what the hell will he do now. And atleast he does finally learn the importance of family, though surprisingly, not from where he expected it.

What I really liked about this movie is that it was relate-able. And that too, I could relate to both the emotions Clooney felt. And the other reason is of course yummy man, George Clooney. Like vintage wine, he just gets better. I thought he was absolutely dishy, coming up the escalator in the first installment of Oceans. But in Up in the Air, he looks more delicious and pitches an awesome performance.

There is a vulnerability to him and ofcourse there is an annoying cockiness and self assurance which makes you want to slap him. When he has to convince his sister’s fiancé to get committed, you end up rolling your eyes ‘cuz you know he’s the last person on Earth who should do it.. Even when he does get his dream come true and crosses his 10 million mark, he doesn’t remember what he wants to say.

Director Jason Reitman said,

‘”If you’re going to make a movie about a guy who fires people for a living and you still want to like him, that actor better be damn charming and I don’t think there’s a more charming actor alive than George Clooney. I was very lucky he said yes.”

I definitely and completely agree.

The remaining cast, primarily Vera Farmiga as Alex and Anna Kedrick as Natalie are quite impressive. As much as I loved Farmiga’s glorious gorgeous butt, I’m not sure if she really did deserve the Oscar nod. Not to take away anything from her, but the part I doubt was written
with a expectation of the Golden statuettes. Also watch out for the interesting cameos by JK Simmons, Zach Galifianakis and Sam Elliot.

It shows that firing someone is bloody tough but has to be done. But how does one really give bad news, it makes you wonder if there is any way that can make it any better, any easier. At the same time, losing that job probably ill be the best thing that’s happened to them or the worst. Most people get through while others like the one who caused Natalie to quit see no way out.

Towards the end of it, you realize the worry reason they were afraid to lose their job becomes their motivation to plough ahead. Ultimately it is about that support, about having someone to fall back on who will push you right back up.

The new media is sometimes such a joke isn’t it. Breaking up over text message. Getting fired over the internet. Everything seems to be losing its human touch. I wonder how much longer this will go. Will our children really know so less warmth and humanity? Worrying thought, Really, Don’t you think?

Makes you wonder actually, about priorities. What’s important, 100 million miles? Or someone being there for you. Does commitment really have to be that tough. Well, though the sister’s fiancé’s argument on why he shouldn’t get married does make sense, Clooney’s counterpoint
‘If you think about it, your favorite memories, the most important moments in your life… were you alone? Life’s better with company’ does indeed make more sense. Commitment doesn’t necessarily have to be scary, but it is. Sometimes, it ties you down; sometimes it’s about money, sometimes its bout still being lonely no matter what. But not necessarily. Somewhere along the way, I do believe ‘Up in the Air’ leaves the audience with that hope. Hope that maybe things are not that bad after all.

This movie is about a lot of things, commitment phobia, the end of the road, obsession and a few other philosophies. But everything packaged wonderfully enough to follow without a hitch. It’s a perfect mix of romance and drama, of laughter and tears. It has a little bit of everything and the movie breezes through.

All in all, definitely worth a watch. Watch it from the music.. Watch it for the restrained yet wonderful acting by Clooney. Watch it to learn your priorities. And don’t forget to see what’s in our back pack.
